Privacy requests & complaints

Contact hello@sunzu.com with the subject “Privacy request” or “Privacy complaint”. Tell us which right you want to exercise and enough information to find your account or interaction. Please do not send identity documents or sensitive research data unless we request them through an appropriate channel.
Who handles your request?
Alpha Base OS Ltd handles customer relationships in the UK, Switzerland and EEA; Sunzu, Inc. handles those in the US and the rest of the world. For an existing account, use the company in your agreement. If you are unsure, contact us and we will route your request. Where we process research data for a customer, we will refer the request to that customer and assist it as required.
EEA and UK rights
Subject to applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of personal data; object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing; and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. We generally respond within one month. If a permitted extension is needed, we will explain the reason within that initial period.
Some requests may require proportionate identity verification. We normally provide assistance free of charge. Any refusal, fee or extension will be limited to what applicable law permits and explained to you.
US privacy rights
Depending on your state and whether the relevant law applies, you may request access, correction, deletion or a portable copy; opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising; exercise applicable rights concerning sensitive information or certain profiling; and appeal a refusal. We do not discriminate against people for exercising their applicable privacy rights.
Send requests or appeals to hello@sunzu.com; use “Privacy appeal” for an appeal. Authorised agents may contact us on your behalf where the law permits. We may verify identity and authority for requests that require verification. We will apply the response and appeal deadlines required by the relevant law and explain available escalation routes if we decline.
Advertising choices
Use Cookie preferences to disable website advertising and analytics. This is also our browser-based control for opting out of advertising disclosures that may constitute sale, sharing or targeted advertising. A Global Privacy Control signal overrides stored consent and disables both categories. For other data or accounts, contact us; a browser choice alone does not delete previously collected information.
Make a privacy complaint
Email hello@sunzu.com with “Privacy complaint” in the subject, describing what happened and the outcome you seek. We will acknowledge a complaint within 30 days, investigate without undue delay, keep you informed as appropriate and explain the outcome and available next steps. This acknowledgement period does not extend any separate deadline for responding to a rights request.
You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, an applicable EEA supervisory authority, or your relevant US regulator. Your ability to contact a regulator is not conditional on completing our internal process.
EU GDPR representative
Elkyn Europe OÜ, an Estonian company (registry code 16448398), is the appointed representative of Alpha Base OS Ltd under Article 27 of the EU GDPR. This appointment concerns Alpha Base OS Ltd; it does not appoint Elkyn Europe OÜ for Sunzu, Inc. or make Elkyn Europe OÜ your service provider.
